We will pay special attention on Russian experience of construction and use of economic models that could be referred to the same class as SUST-RUS model.

Task leader: CEFIR

Task 1.2 – Development of the SUST_RUS methodolog

The methodology will be outlined on the basis of the best international and Russian practices of development of a spatio-economic-environmental modelling tools for assessment of sustainable development policies. There are several points that are to be taken into account in methodology development:

  • We should define exactly what kinds of policies are to be evaluated given the present set of Russian sustainable development policies and best practice sustainable development policies from around the world. Even though Russian policy makers may not use the whole set of policies nowadays, changes in the policy design should be foreseen.
  • Given the set of possible policies for evaluation we should build our model aiming at the best possible implementation given data constrains. Work on the data issues will be held in WP2 simultaneously with development of the methodology.

As a result of the task 1.2 we will have description of the modelling methodology for the SUST-RUS model (the deliverable 1.2)

Task leader: CEFIR
