Description of work

Task 10.1 – Project web site: creation, maintenance
Working from the first days of the project, the project website should be a gateway for public to the proceedings and findings of the Consortium. The project web site should not only be a means of informing public, but a stage for discussion and feedback on the project activities and deliverables. Thus the creation and maintenance of the SUST-RUS website is a task of a major importance.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.2 – An academic seminar on development of the model structure
An academic seminar to discuss the modelling techniques implemented in the SUST-RUS will be held at the beginning of the project. This presentation is very important as a mean of verification of project strategy and as a tool for sharing academic and statistical knowledge acquired during work on WP1 and WP2. Proceedings of the seminar will be published on the website.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.3 – A seminar on finalising developments of international, social and environmental modules
As work on these three dimensions of sustainability comes to the final stage, a public seminar will be held in order to share findings and discuss strategies of linking international, social and environmental modules. This innovative component of the SUST-RUS project, namely coherent work on different dimensions of sustainability, is an important element of the project methodology. This seminar will provide an excellent opportunity to share an overall vision of the project as well as technical details concerning implementation of WP5, WP6 and WP7.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.4 – Exploitation and end-user needs
To enable an optimal match between the products made by SUST-RUS and the needs of potential users the project will develop an exploitation strategy. Potential stakeholders will be identified and interviews will be made to outline their needs and to ensure that SUST-RUS activities match them as good as possible. Specific attention will be given to the transparency of the method in order to enable third parties to understand when and how the developed assessment tool can be applied. The end-user interviews in the first half of the project will be used to fine-tune the needs of potential users.
Furthermore, the partners will actively promote the use of the tools in further studies. As all of them have a track record in transferring successfully tools from the research stage to the use phase, they will continue to use their capacities and skills to valorise the SUST-RUS. These new initiatives will be accompanied by applying for suitable support.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.5 – Liaison with other projects on sustainability in Russia
During the execution of the project, the project partners will try to utilize as much as possible existing studies and models addressing the issue of sustainability in case of Russia. They will sustain the contacts with the persons responsible for these studies throughout the project and promote the use of the SUST-RUS results by them.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.6 – A roundtable with regional policymakers, NGOs and general public on dissemination of project results
It is essential to involve regional stakeholders into discussion of project findings. There is a clear need for a well-documented policy analysis tool on the regional level. That can be used for both propagating goals of sustainable development on the regional level and for assessing regional policy scenarios that are relevant for particular regional stakeholders. Consortium members have large experience of organising seminars with policy makers both on regional and federal level in Russia.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.7 – A press-conference featuring project’s policy implications
A press-conference for the general public will be held in order to raise attention to the policy assessment tool SUST-RUS.
Task leader: CEFIR

Task 10.7 – The final conference on SUST-RUS project
The final conference is intended to be rather policy oriented than academic. As the project enters its final stage policy implications and availability of the assessment tool SUST-RUS will be discussed on a final conference which will sum up the three-year project effort
